About Friel Insruance Agency

In 1987, Bradd Friel started working as Vice President of the Auto Warranty Department at Interstate Dealer Services (IDS). Within two years he transferred into the IDS Auto Dealer Insurance Division. After nearly three years of intensive training he developed a passion for the Dealer Insurance business.

Bradd started his own Insurance Agency, with Farmers Insurance Group. At that time Farmers was a leader in the Franchised Auto Dealer Insurance business and Friel Insurance Agency, Inc. was opened on June 16, 1991.

Bradd worked tirelessly writing insurance for many Southern California Auto Dealers although looking back, much of the time it didn’t really feel like a lot of work. “These Car Dealers are really interesting to talk to, fantastic businessmen and a lot of fun to be around” he would say. “I am fortunate to still call many of these first client’s friends to this day.”

In 2008, as Farmers started withdrawing from the Dealer business Bradd sold his Farmers Franchise (at the time he was the largest Commercial Auto Producer Nationally, out of 14,000 Farmers Agents) and became an Independent Insurance Broker and remains so to this day, appointed by many of the top Insurance Carriers in the Garage Liability, Worker’s Compensation and Employment Practices Liability business.
